Sausage Dipped Pancakes 🥞🍳

Sweet, savory, and ultra-indulgent! Fluffy pancake stacks with crispy sausage and melted cheese—perfect for brunch or a hearty breakfast.


Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

  • 2 cups pancake mix (+ ingredients listed on box, usually water & egg)

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional, for batter)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional, savory boost)

  • Butter or oil (for cooking)

For Serving (Optional)

  • Extra maple syrup

  • Fried eggs

  • Hot sauce


Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage

    • Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain excess grease.

    • Stir in cheese while warm and set aside.

  2. Make the Pancake Batter

    • Prepare pancake mix as directed (usually mix + water + egg).

    • For extra flavor, add 1 tbsp maple syrup (sweet) or garlic powder (savory).

  3. Assemble & Cook

    • Heat a griddle or pan over medium-low. Lightly grease with butter/oil.

    • Pour ¼ cup pancake batter onto the griddle. Immediately press 1 tbsp sausage-cheese mix into the center.

    • Cover with another ¼ cup batter to encase the sausage.

    • Cook until bubbles form (2-3 mins), flip, and cook until golden.

  4. Serve

    • Stack pancakes and drizzle with maple syrup or top with a fried egg.
