  • For Serving:
    • Cooked rice (white or brown)
    • Steamed broccoli or vegetables (optional)
    • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season the chicken with salt and pepper and place it in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix the Sauce:
    • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Combine:
    • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker, ensuring the chicken is well coated.
  4. Cook:
    • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred the Chicken:
    • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Return it to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.

    • Serve the honey garlic chicken over cooked rice and add steamed vegetables on the side. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
