Snickers Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (3.4 oz/102g) vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 cup 2% or whole milk
  • 2 cups Cool Whip, thawed
  • 4 small Granny Smith apples, chopped (leave the skin on for color and texture)
  • 6 Snickers bars, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: chopped peanuts or extra caramel drizzle for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the pudding mixture:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the vanilla instant pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened (about 2 minutes).
    • Gently fold in the Cool Whip until fully combined.
  2. Add the apples and Snickers:
    • Stir in the chopped apples and Snickers pieces until everything is evenly coated with the pudding mixture.
  3. Chill:
    • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to chill.
  4. Serve:
    • Just before serving, drizzle the caramel sauce over the top. You can also garnish with chopped peanuts or an extra drizzle of caramel if desired.
    • Serve cold and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Customize the fruit: Swap Granny Smith apples for other varieties like Honeycrisp or Fuji, or add bananas or strawberries for a twist.
  • Make it ahead: Assemble the salad (without the caramel drizzle) up to a day in advance. Add the caramel sauce just before serving to prevent the apples from browning.
  • Lighten it up: Use sugar-free pudding mix, light Cool Whip, and low-fat milk for a lighter version.

This Snickers Salad is a crowd-pleaser that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! Let me know if you’d like more dessert ideas. 😊
