🔥 Spicy Cajun Honey Butter Chicken & Pasta (Creamy, Spicy & Sweet!)

This flavor-packed dish combines tender Cajun-spiced chicken, al dente pasta, and a luscious honey butter sauce with a kick—ready in 30 minutes!

📝 Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust for spice)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Pasta & Sauce:

  • 8 oz penne or fettuccine (or GF pasta)

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ½ cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley (garnish)

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)


👩🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Chicken

  1. Toss chicken with Cajun seasoning until coated.

  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken 4-5 mins per side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the Pasta

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

3️⃣ Make the Honey Butter Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Sauté garlic until fragrant (~30 secs).

  3. Stir in honey, cream, broth, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3-4 mins until slightly thickened.

4️⃣ Combine & Serve

  1. Add cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce, tossing to coat. Add pasta water if needed.

  2. Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes.

✔ Extra creamy? Stir in ¼ cup Parmesan at the end.
✔ Milder version? Use less Cajun seasoning or add a splash of cream.
