Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces Mezcal
  • 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 3/4 ounce lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 ounce agave syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (adjust for spice level)
  • Pineapple wedge, for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the glass:

    • If you like, rim your glass with chili powder or a mixture of chili powder and salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it into the chili powder-salt mixture.
  2. Mix the drink:

    • In a cocktail shaker, combine the Mezcal, pineapple juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and chili powder.
    • Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients well.
  3. Serve:

    • Fill your prepared glass with ice and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
  4. Garnish:

    • Garnish with a pineapple wedge on the rim of the glass or drop it into the drink for added flavor.
  5. Enjoy:

    • Sip and enjoy the smoky, sweet, and spicy flavors of this refreshing Mezcal margarita!

Tips:

  • Adjust the spice: If you want more heat, feel free to add a pinch of cayenne pepper or use a spicier chili powder.
  • Make it smoky: Mezcal has a distinct smoky flavor, but if you prefer a smoother, more neutral taste, you can use tequila instead.
  • Agave syrup sweetness: Depending on how sweet you like your drinks, you can adjust the amount of agave syrup.

Enjoy this fun twist on a margarita!
