Sriracha Roasted Cauliflower

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro or green onions, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cauliflower:
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Cut the cauliflower into florets, making sure they are roughly the same size for even roasting.
2. Make the Sriracha Sauce:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, honey (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust the amount of sriracha depending on how spicy you want it.
3. Coat the Cauliflower:
  • Place the cauliflower florets in a large bowl and pour the sriracha sauce over them. Toss the cauliflower until it’s evenly coated with the sauce.
4. Roast the Cauliflower:
  • Spread the cauliflower in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy around the edges.
5. Garnish and Serve:
  • Once roasted, remove the cauliflower from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds, fresh cilantro, or chopped green onions if desired.
  • Serve hot as a side dish or snack.

Tips:

  • Adjust Spice Level: If you prefer a milder version, reduce the amount of sriracha or substitute it with a milder hot sauce.
  • Add Texture: For extra crunch, you can top the roasted cauliflower with crushed peanuts or cashews before serving.
  • Dipping Sauce: Pair this dish with a cooling dip, like ranch or yogurt-based dip, to balance out the heat.

This Sriracha Roasted Cauliflower is a perfect blend of spicy, savory, and slightly sweet, and it makes a great side dish for any Asian-inspired meal or a snack on its own! 🌶️🥦
