Total Time: 1 hour
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh or canned peach slices (drained)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (for serving, optional)
Instructions:
- Preparation:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them. If using canned peaches, drain them thoroughly.
- Making the Batter:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add the milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until you have a smooth batter.
- Preparing the Cobbler:
- Place the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Put the dish in the preheated oven until the butter is melted, about 5 minutes.
