White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers 🍔

Juicy, flavorful, and packed with hidden greens—these burgers are a healthier twist on classic comfort food!


🍗 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken (or turkey)

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

  • ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese

  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce)

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan (for extra umami)

  • 1 tsp hot sauce (for a kick)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the Spinach

  • Wilt spinach in a dry pan for 1–2 mins, then squeeze out all excess water (key for binding!).

2. Mix the Burger Patty

In a bowl, combine:

  • Ground chicken

  • Spinach, cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Worcestershire, and spices.

  • Mix gently (don’t overwork—keeps burgers tender).

3. Form & Cook

  • Shape into 4 patties (½-inch thick).

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Cook 5–6 mins per side until golden and internal temp hits 165°F (74°C).

4. Serve

  • On toasted buns with avocado, tomato, and garlic aioli.

  • Or skip the bun and serve over a salad!
