The 54-year-old singer attended the third annual Recording Academy Honors in a dress some considered to be unconventional. She wore a dress that hugged her figure, it was a cream dress that included a corset which was embellished with sheer caramel colored tulle details. The silhouette was incredibly flattering on the pop singer.
The outfit also featured a deep neckline that highlighted the singer’s figure in areas not everyone thought appropriate.
While fans praised the singer’s look, with one fan saying, “I like it ,” and another adding how the dress seemed to be “MADE for her.”
Mariah is no stranger to critical comments online as people are used to leaving judgemental comments on the star’s social media as well. In 2017, the pop star uploaded pictures of herself and then boyfriend Bryan Tanaka on Instagram and recieved a sleuth of comments fat shaming her.
“Mariah, you need to lose some weight cause your starting to look like a whale,” one person commented on the picture.
