Bacon Cranberry Walnut Dip

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (about 4-6 slices)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped if large
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Base:
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth and well-blended.
2. Add Bacon and Cranberries:
  • Stir in the crumbled bacon, chopped dried cranberries, and walnuts. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
3. Add Sweetness & Seasoning:
  • If you like a touch of sweetness, drizzle in the honey and stir to incorporate. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can also add a pinch of fresh rosemary or thyme if you want a more aromatic flavor.
4. Chill:
  • Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
5. Garnish & Serve:
  • Before serving, garnish the dip with fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color.
  • Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, pita chips, or fresh vegetable sticks for dipping!

Tips:

  • Cranberry Sauce Option: If you have fresh cranberry sauce on hand, you can substitute it for the dried cranberries to add an extra burst of flavor.
  • Add Some Spice: For a little heat, you can stir in a pinch of red pepper flakes or a few dashes of hot sauce.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
