Cinnamon-Sugar Pizza made with Crescent Rolls 🍕😋

Ingredients:

  • For the Base:
    • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
    • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
    • ¼ cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • For the Icing (optional):
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 1-2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
    • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the Crescent Roll Base:
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Pinch the seams together to form one large rectangle or pizza-like shape.
3. Add the Cinnamon-Sugar:
  • Brush the melted butter evenly over the crescent dough.
  • In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together. Sprinkle this cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
4. Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
5. Make the Icing (Optional):
  • While the cinnamon-sugar pizza is baking, you can prepare the icing. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk (or heavy cream), and vanilla extract until smooth.
6. Drizzle the Icing (Optional):
  • Once the pizza is out of the oven, allow it to cool slightly. Drizzle the icing over the top for an extra sweet touch.
7. Serve:
  • Slice the cinnamon-sugar pizza into wedges, and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Customize the Icing: You can also add a little cinnamon to the icing for extra flavor.
  • Try Nut Toppings: Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for a crunchy texture if you like.
  • No Icing? The pizza is perfectly delicious on its own without the icing too!

This Cinnamon-Sugar Pizza is a quick, fun, and sweet treat made with crescent rolls. It’s a perfect dessert or snack when you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen. Enjoy! 🍕🍩

Sounds so good! I grew up with cinnamon toast most mornings, I still make it for myself for a breakfast treat!
Will have to try next time my granddaughters have a sleepover!
