Spicy, creamy, and totally addictive! These stuffed Fresno peppers are the perfect balance of heat and cool, creamy filling—great for game day, BBQs, or a bold appetizer.
Ingredients
(Makes 12 poppers)
- 12 Fresno peppers (sub jalapeños for milder heat)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese
- 2 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp cumin
- 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro or chives
- Salt & pepper to taste
For Topping (Optional)
- 2 tbsp honey (to balance heat)
- Extra bacon crumbles
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep Peppers
- Slice peppers lengthwise, remove seeds/membranes (wear gloves if sensitive to heat).
- Blanch in boiling water for 1-2 mins to soften (optional for milder spice).
2️⃣ Make Filling
- Mix cream cheese, cheddar, sour cream, spices, bacon, and herbs.
3️⃣ Stuff & Bake
- Fill peppers, place on a baking sheet.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-18 mins until bubbly.
- Optional: Drizzle with honey & broil 1-2 mins for caramelization.
