Ingredients:

  • 1 pound red snapper fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Directions:

1. Prep the Fish:

  1. Rinse the red snapper fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. This helps to ensure the seasoning sticks well to the fish.

2. Season the Fish:

  1. Drizzle the olive oil over both sides of the fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  2. Sprinkle the salt and black pepper over both sides of the fish. You can also add any additional spices or herbs if desired, like garlic powder, paprika, or lemon zest for extra flavor.

3. Cook the Fish:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is hot, add the olive oil and allow it to heat up.
  2. Place the fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if they have skin. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.

4. Serve:

  1. Once cooked, remove the fish from the skillet and place it on a plate.
  2. Optionally, squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over the fish for added freshness and tang.
  3. Serve with keto-friendly sides like steamed vegetables, a side salad, or cauliflower rice.

Optional Add-ins:

  • Herbs: Fresh herbs like parsley, thyme, or cilantro can be sprinkled over the fish before serving for a burst of flavor.
  • Garlic: For an extra depth of flavor, you can sauté some minced garlic in the skillet before adding the fish fillets.

This Keto Red Snapper Fish is light, full of flavor, and fits perfectly into a ketogenic diet. It’s also quick and easy to prepare for a healthy weeknight dinner. Enjoy! Would you like more keto-friendly recipes or any other variations for this dish?
