Ingredients
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan:
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and semisweet chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth (about 2-3 minutes total).
- Add the Nuts and Flavoring:
- Stir in the chopped walnuts, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Pour and Set:
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for 1 hour, or place it in the refrigerator for a firmer texture.
- Cut and Serve:
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the baking dish using the parchment paper or foil overhang.
- Cut into small squares and serve.
