Peach Dumpling Bubble Up 🍑🥟

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls (or 1 tube biscuit dough, cut into quarters)
  • 2 cups peeled & diced peaches (fresh, frozen/thawed, or canned—drained)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Sprite/7-Up or peach nectar (for syrup—keeps dumplings soft!)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ cup chopped pecans/walnuts
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prep:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13″ baking dish.
  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place 2-3 peach pieces on each, roll up, and pinch edges to seal (or toss biscuit pieces with peaches).

2️⃣ Make the Syrup:

  • Whisk melted butter, both sugars, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour evenly over dumplings in the dish.
  • Slowly pour Sprite/peach nectar around the edges (don’t stir—this creates a bubbly sauce).

3️⃣ Bake:

  • Bake 35-40 mins until golden and bubbly. Let rest 10 mins (syrup thickens as it cools).

4️⃣ Serve:

  • Spoon warm dumplings into bowls. Top with ice cream and a drizzle of the caramel-like syrup!

Tips:

✔ Shortcut: Use canned peach pie filling (skip sugars, just add butter + soda).
✔ Crispy Top? Broil 1-2 mins at the end.
✔ No Soda? Substitute orange juice or apple cider.
