4-Ingredient Pumpkin Bread Rolls (Yeast-Free)

Soft, fluffy, and subtly spiced—these easy rolls use pumpkin purée as the secret ingredient for moisture and flavor! No yeast, no waiting!

🥣 Ingredients (Makes 8 rolls)

  • 1 cup (240g) pumpkin purée (not pie filling)

  • 2 cups (250g) self-rising flour (or 2 cups all-purpose flour + 1 tbsp baking powder + ½ tsp salt)

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil (plus extra for brushing)

  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice (optional, for warmth)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Mix the Dough

  1. In a bowl, combine pumpkin purée, honey, and melted butter.

  2. Gradually add self-rising flour (and pumpkin spice if using) until a soft dough forms.

2. Shape the Rolls

  • Divide dough into 8 equal pieces, roll into balls, and place on a parchment-lined baking tray.

  • Optional: Brush tops with melted butter for a golden finish.

3. Bake

  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18-20 mins until lightly golden and hollow-sounding when tapped.

4. Serve Warm!

  • Best enjoyed fresh with butter, cinnamon honey, or soup.

💡 Tips & Variations

✨ Fluffier rolls: Add ¼ cup Greek yogurt for extra tenderness.
✨ Savory twist: Skip honey, add 1 tsp garlic powder + ½ cup grated cheddar.
✨ No self-rising flour? Use the AP flour substitute listed above.
