Red Lobster’s Famous Shrimp Scampi Copycat Recipe 🍤🧄

Indulge in the buttery, garlicky goodness of Red Lobster’s Shrimp Scampi—made right at home! This restaurant-quality dish features succulent shrimp bathed in a rich garlic-lemon butter sauce, perfect over pasta or with crusty bread.

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins | Total Time: 20 mins

Servings: 2–4

Ingredients:

For the Shrimp Scampi:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on or off)

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ¼ cup dry white wine (or sub chicken broth + 1 tsp lemon juice)

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

For Serving (Optional):

  • Cooked linguine or angel hair pasta

  • Lemon wedges

  • Grated Parmesan cheese

  • Crusty bread (for soaking up the sauce!)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Shrimp:

    • Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with salt & pepper.

  2. Sauté Garlic & Butter:

    • In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.

    • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds (don’t let it burn!).

    • Stir in white wine and simmer for 1–2 mins to reduce slightly.

  3. Cook the Shrimp:

    • Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 2–3 mins per side until pink and opaque.

    • Stir in lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and parsley.

  4. Serve & Enjoy!

    • Toss with pasta (if using) or serve with crusty bread for dipping.

    • Garnish with extra parsley, lemon wedges, and Parmesan.

🔥 Pro Tips:

✅ Extra Restaurant Flavor? Add a splash of heavy cream for a richer sauce.
✅ No Wine? Use chicken broth + extra lemon juice instead.
✅ For a One-Pan Meal: Add cherry tomatoes or spinach while cooking.

This quick, elegant dish tastes just like Red Lobster’s—but even better because it’s homemade! 😉🍝

Pair with: Caesar salad & a glass of white wine. 🥂
