Slow Cooker Hamburger Hash Stack

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 4-6 hrs (Low) or 2-3 hrs (High) | Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)

  • 1 cup white onion, diced

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, for depth)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced potatoes, drained (or 2 cups fresh diced potatoes)

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup (or cheddar soup for cheesier flavor)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

  • Green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Brown the Beef

    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.

    • Stir in salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.

  2. Layer in Slow Cooker

    • In the slow cooker, mix the beef mixture, potatoes, soup, and ½ cup cheese.

    • Cover and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours.

  3. Add Cheese & Serve

    • Sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheese on top, cover until melted (about 5 mins).

    • Garnish with green onions and serve hot!

Serving Ideas:

  • Top with a fried egg for a breakfast twist.

  • Serve with buttered toast or a simple salad.

This comforting, cheesy hash is a crowd-pleaser with minimal effort! Let me know if you’d like a spicy version with jalapeños. 😊🍲
