Bitchin Sauce

BITCHIN’ SAUCE (the famous vegan, almond-based dip!)

This creamy, savory, and slightly tangy sauce is a cult favorite—perfect for dipping veggies, drizzling on tacos, or slathering on sandwiches. Here’s how to make a copycat version at home!

BITCHIN’ SAUCE (Copycat Recipe)

(Makes about 2 cups)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup blanched almonds (soaked in hot water for 30 mins, then drained)

  • ½ cup water (adjust for thickness)

  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast (for cheesy umami flavor)

  • 3 tbsp lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 ½ tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos (or tamari/soy sauce)

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions:

  1. Soak almonds in hot water for 30 mins (or overnight in cold water), then drain.

  2. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender (like Vitamix) until ultra-smooth (3-5 mins, scraping sides as needed).

  3. Adjust consistency with more water (for dip) or less (for spread).

  4. Chill for 1 hour to thicken and let flavors meld.

Uses & Tips:

  • 🌮 Drizzle on tacos, bowls, or roasted veggies.

  • 🥕 Dip for chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

  • 🔥 Spice it up with chipotle or smoked paprika.

  • Storage Keeps for 5-7 days in the fridge (stir before serving).
