Blackberry Margarita Smash

Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 2 tbsp agave syrup or simple syrup
- 2 oz. tequila
- 1 oz. triple sec or Cointreau
- Ice cubes
- Sparkling water (optional, for topping)
- Lime wedges and blackberries for garnish
- Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Glasses:
- If rimming the glasses, run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Dip the rim into salt or sugar, depending on your preference. Set aside.
- Muddle the Blackberries:
- In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh blackberries and lime juice.
- Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to smash the blackberries until they release their juices and are well mashed.
- Mix the Drink:
