A comfort food mashup that combines juicy cheeseburger flavors with crispy French fries—baked to perfection!
Ingredients:
-
1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)
-
1 small onion, diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp mustard powder (or 1 tbsp yellow mustard)
-
Salt & black pepper, to taste
-
1 (16 oz) bag frozen French fries (crinkle-cut or shoestring)
-
1 (10.5 oz) can cheddar cheese soup (or 1½ cups shredded cheddar)
-
¼ cup ketchup
-
¼ cup pickles, chopped (optional)
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
Toppings: Diced tomatoes, lettuce, extra pickles, or burger sauce for serving.
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic until no pink remains. Drain excess fat.
-
Season: Stir in Worcestershire, paprika, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
-
Layer the bake:
-
Spread the beef mixture in the baking dish.
-
Drizzle ketchup over the beef (like a burger’s “special sauce”).
-
Spoon cheddar soup evenly on top (or sprinkle shredded cheese).
-
Add pickles (if using).
-
Arrange frozen French fries in a single layer over everything.
-
-
Bake: 25–30 mins until fries are golden and crispy.
-
Add cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top and broil 2–3 mins until bubbly.
-
Serve: Garnish with fresh toppings (tomatoes, lettuce, pickles) or a drizzle of burger sauce.
Tips:
✅ Extra crispy fries? Toss them in 1 tbsp oil before baking.
✅ Healthier twist? Use sweet potato fries or cauliflower tots.
✅ Make ahead: Assemble (without baking) and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
✅ Kid-friendly: Skip the pickles or add bacon bits!
This bake is cheesy, hearty, and packed with burger flavor—great for game day or a fun family dinner! 🍔🍟
