No-Bake Chocolate M&M Pie

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed chocolate cookies (Oreos or graham crackers)
  • ½ cup melted butter

For the Chocolate Filling:

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup M&M’s (for decoration)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for extra garnish)

Instructions:

1. Make the crust:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies (Oreos or graham crackers) with the melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish to form a crust. Use the back of a spoon or your fingers to pack it down tightly.
  • Place the crust in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes, allowing it to firm up.

2. Prepare the chocolate filling:

  • In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated.

3. Assemble the pie:

  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the chilled cookie crust, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  • Return the pie to the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2-3 hours or until the filling is set.

4. Top with M&M’s:

  • Once the pie has set, remove it from the refrigerator. Sprinkle M&M’s generously over the top for a colorful and festive look.
  • Optionally, you can add a dollop of whipped cream on top for extra creaminess.

5. Serve:

  • Slice and serve your delicious No-Bake Chocolate M&M Pie chilled. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • If you prefer a slightly firmer filling, you can add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the heavy cream before heating it.
  • For extra flavor, you can use a mix of dark and milk chocolate chips.
  • If you’re short on time, you can use store-bought cookie crusts, but homemade is always better!
