Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or loaf pan.
- Cream the Butter and Sugar:
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. This should take about 5 minutes.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla:
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Bake the Cake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve as desired.
