Savvy Chicken Pleasure Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper.
    • Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
    • Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables:
    • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Deglaze the Pan:
    • Pour in the chicken broth and white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
    • Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, parsley (if using), thyme, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Simmer the Sauce:
    • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
    • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the Savvy Chicken Pleasure hot, with the sauce spooned over the top. Pair with your favorite side dishes such as mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.
