Strawberry Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:

    • Place the chopped strawberries into a blender or food processor and puree them until smooth. You can leave it a little chunky if you prefer a bit of texture in the butter.
    • If you prefer a smoother consistency, you can strain the puree to remove excess liquid. This will give the butter a more creamy texture and prevent it from being too runny.
  2. Whip the Butter:

    • In a mixing bowl, add the softened butter. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until it’s light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the Strawberry Puree:

    • Gradually add the strawberry puree to the butter, mixing until it’s fully incorporated. Start with a tablespoon at a time to control the consistency of the butter.
    • If you prefer a thicker strawberry butter, you can add a bit less puree or beat it for a few minutes longer to make sure it holds together.
  4. Sweeten the Butter:

    • Add powdered sugar to taste, depending on how sweet you want your strawberry butter. Mix until combined.
    • If using, add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.
  5. Chill and Serve:

    • Transfer the strawberry butter into a small jar or container. For best results, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together and to firm up the butter.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Spread it on warm toast, croissants, or scones for a delicious breakfast treat.
  • Use it to top pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal.
  • Serve it with freshly baked muffins or as a filling for pastries.
  • It also makes a great gift when packed in a cute jar with a ribbon!

Enjoy your homemade strawberry butter—a sweet and creamy addition to your favorite baked goods! 🍓🥖
