Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) baby potatoes (or regular potatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary (or fresh, chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for color and mild heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Potatoes:

  • If using baby potatoes, wash them thoroughly and cut them in half or quarters, depending on their size. If using regular potatoes, peel (if desired) and cut them into 1-inch cubes.
  • Pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture, which helps them crisp up in the air fryer.

2. Season the Potatoes:

  • In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, thyme, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Make sure the potatoes are evenly coated with the seasoning and oil.

3. Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

4. Air Fry the Potatoes:

  • Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket or tray in a single layer. If necessary, you can work in batches to avoid overcrowding, as this helps them cook evenly.
  • Cook the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The cooking time may vary depending on the size of the potato pieces and the air fryer model, so check for doneness by piercing the potatoes with a fork. They should be golden and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

5. Serve:

  • Once the potatoes are crispy and cooked through, remove them from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
